As a note, summer is my insane time of year at work, and at home I have to joy (O rapturous joy!) of being relegated to dialup internet. No, not by choice. (Insert rant about the socioeconomic issues of evil cable corps and rural towns.) So if I'm slow to respond to comments, it's not for any lack of interest or respect for what's being said. It's a bandwidth (human and network) problem.

Ok, carry on.

Even with the most expensive satellite option our little town can get my family maxes out the bandwidth on a regular basis. We also don't have Smartphones because there is no cell signal and it's been years since we've had tv.

Yep. My dialup costs a eighth what Hughsnet wanted to charge me, and it continues working in the rain and snow.

We did dialup when we had satellite tv, but after we cancelled the tv (due to a neighbor's tree getting in the way of the signal...or we needed a new box that Directv wasn't going to give us) we got the internet. It is expensive I admit but the local library only has 2 public computers and their hours are limited.
