Andromeda Spaceways passed on LimaBean Cafe (16 days), with a very complimentary note ("This is a gorgeous, magical, whimsical piece".) In the end they passed on it for exactly the reason I had expected, which is that the speculative element in the story is very faint and not what drives the piece.

Ah well. It wasn't the best fit of market to story, but I like the ASIM folks enough that I thought it was worth a try nonetheless.
