(written at about 2:30am EST, just as my @!&$! modem tanked again...)
...minus the luggage, of course.
Our flight out of Albuquerque was delayed, leaving us with 5 minutes between our plane landing in Dallas and the departure of our connecting flight to Hartford. The child and I got off the first plane and literally ran for it (not even stopping at the ladies' room, oh me oh my), getting to the new gate just as they were about to give up on us and close the door. There were six other people on our flight from NM behind us, so we warned the desk guy that the others were not far behind and thus we all made it onto the plane in time.
Honestly, I knew the moment we caught that flight that our luggage wouldn't be so lucky. Theoretically they should be dropping it off sometime tomorrow (er, today, actually. Sunday.)
Meanwhile the cats were very happy to see us for the thirty seconds between when we arrived home and they bolted for the wide world outdoors. They did quite a number on the houseplants, and seem to have completely shredded the screen in the one window I left open to get some air into the house. Brats. House is messier than I remembered leaving it -- tomorrow will be a clean-up day, I think.
(end last night's post)
Awake, not feeling so good, but cleaning. Waiting for luggage. Glad to be home (-:
