How Does Bush's Colonoscopy Compare To His Presidency?

...Cheney was always in charge.

Both involve assholes.

Bush's doctors will make sure they've got all the safety checks in place to avoid accidental injury...
...Meanwhile, Bush has systematically stripped the nation of the checks and balances that kept us from sliding in fascism.

In both cases, Congress is completely useless.

Bush gets to have anaesthesia while doctors stick a big tube up his rectum...
...No anaesthesia for the nation when the neo-cons and a compromised supreme court rammed this administration up the country's backside.

Both involve unbelievable quantities of shit.

Bush gets two and a half hours of suffering he mostly won't remember afterwards...
...The nation gets eight years of suffering, and will be acutely aware of the damage this administration has done to this country and to the globe for the next several generations...

The Surge probably won't do any good, but whether it does or not it's going to be unpleasant.
