You ever have one of those days where you spend all day thinking about this one thing that you really, really, really want for dinner so you rush home after work and dig out your cookbook and make a list of the things you need to buy and then you pile the child into the car to go to the grocery store (made easier because the child forgot her backpack at school, and thus did not bring home homework that needs doing), and you hit every single possible red light on the way there, get cut off by some dumbass blowing through a yield sign, then get stuck behind someone going half the speed limit, only to get to the actual grocery store to find that the one key ingredient you need (a fairly common item) is out of stock, so you pile the child back into the car and you drive to the next grocery store one town over, hitting every single possible red light on the way, and run into said second grocery store only to discover that they are also out of your ingredient although they do have a small stock of it that's been mixed with chopped red bell peppers but since bell peppers make you stop breathing when you eat them you can't buy it so you pile the child back into the car again and go to the specialty grocery store all the way back towards the first grocery store because, while they won't have your ingredient they have frozen meal-in-a-bag of something similar enough to what you're craving that you think it'll suffice, and you hit every possible red light on the way and get cut off by some jerk in an Expedition who obviously has somewhere much more important to be than you and then you get to the specialty store only to discover that apparently they've just recently discountinued that particular item, though they do have a similar item with green bell peppers in it, so you leave specialty store, telling yourself how stupid it would be to cry over some stupid dinner, and child is now starving and you're now starving -- enough that your stomach is starting to hurt and you're feeling ooky -- so you end up going through the fucking McDonald's drivethrough, which is just about the furthest thing from what you've wanted all day long?
No?
Must just be my lucky day.
