(no subject)

~1200 mostly good words on Silence and Roses. I figure I'm probably two-thirds of the way through the draft at 4200, so hopefully this'll be one I can keep at or under 6k.

My mental-health day off from work today was well-spent and definitely will make it easier to face the challenges of work tomorrow without letting it get to me as badly as it has been, but it wasn't quite enough to feel my usual self again. Going to have to do this again sometime soon.

There are also many, far more deserving stories (and novels and magazines and websites) out there which I encourage you to think and act on behalf of; so few people nominate for the Hugos that it doesn't take much to get something you like onto the ballot.
