Me: Plip-plop?
Daughter: pip-PLUP
Me: If you turn over that card, did you flip Piplup?
Daughter: [silence]
Me: And if he's wearing his favorite shoes, did you Flip Flip-Flops Piplup?
Daughter: You're doing it again.
Me: Yes. And if he makes a mistake, would it be a Flip Slip-up Flip-Flops Piplup? And if he's playing his favorite game as he's goofing up, is it a Flip Slip-up Flip-Flops Gnip-Gnop Piplup*?
Daughter: You're doing the same thing you did with Zigzagoon. Why do you always torment me?
Me: Because I love you, of course. If he dealt in stolen cars he'd be--
Daughter: [leaps out of car and races for the house with hands over ears]

Only a few more weeks and I'm gonna need to learn how to torment 12-year-olds instead.

You definitely need Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii - there is something so wonderfully satisfying when you are beating that stupid Picachu to a pulp. BWAAhaahaa!

Oh, and I almost forgot - I think Piplup grows up to be an Empolian (emperor penguinish looking). I had one once in my game - I named it Bonaparte. Ian still laughs at that.
