I didn't make the short list for the BSFA awards. Honestly I hadn't expected to, not up against the names I was. It would have been nice, though.
Of course it's still very cool I made the list at all.
I'm back from Arisia, and thoroughly exhausted and cranky. It was a pretty good con but there were serious problems with the elevators which meant that I spent a lot of time having no choice but to hoof it up and down the stairs, setting off my asthma more than once in the process. (Not to mention my bad knee, and killing my neck trying to haul my luggage down five flights of stairs...) Once I got where I was going I had a really good time, but the hotel was just NOT up to hosting an event of this size.
Obviously I'm totally behind on my FL and may not catch up anytime soon. If I missed anything important, drop me a note directly. Hope you all had a good weekend!
