I made another revision pass through Silence and Roses, after getting some good feedback from my faithful beta readers and my fellow Scattered Rosleyians. I took out three entire paragraphs, cut some dialogue, tightened up and strengthened the climax of the story, and it went from 8569 words to 8547.

Grump! Writing is hard, writing SHORT is even harder.
