Or, as I like to call it: Nooooooooooooo! Not another novel!
I think I'm actually just over the half-way point now, which'd make it come in at 50-60k as a first draft. And we all know when I revise things, they get fatter. That said, there's some things about the story that I'm just not sure work at novel length, though there's really no point worrying about them until I see where the end of this thing lands and decide from there what to do about it.
