Wednesday I ditched work for the day and went off with two coworkers to the New England Flower Show. It was very cool! It's wonderful to walk in the door and get hit with a wall of life-scented air.

There were all sorts of lush flowering plants, water gardens, quiet woodsy corners, some stunning japanese maples and bonsai, and lots of ideas for things to build in one's yard. All in a crappy old warehouse in the middle of Boston!
I made an extensive list of cool plants, which by the time spring actually arrives I will have forgotten what was what. But that's okay, that's half the fun! I write down Fothergilla every year; maybe this is the year I plant one (-:
I really need to live somewhere that's green all year 'round. Either that, or live in a greenhouse.
