(no subject)

My characters are attempting to derail the inevitable horribleness to which I plan to subject them by trying to distract me with witty banter:

"Don't worry, this mischief won't last. Meanwhile, hey, it's burrito night! Everyone's happier on burrito night."     "Have you tasted the burritos?"     "I'm a vegetarian," Sam said, never losing his smile. "Also, with you lot acting the way you are, I don't eat anything I don't crack the seal on myself. No offense."     "None taken." Smith sighed. "I think it was the tacos last week that got us with the giant ass-warts."

This story may have a lot of silly in it, for a story about a flesh-eating bacteria. 2500 words worth, so far.
