Got a lot of stuff done today, mostly because I had plans for the day that fell through with little warning leaving me feeling at loose ends, and then the babies took a four hour nap and I didn't.



1. My bedroom has become the place where laundry goes to die, so I folded and put away the giant pile of clothes and sorted out stuff to off to goodwill.

2. Cleaned up the kitchen.

3. Finished building the stone wall that I started back in May.

Honestly I'd've had it done sooner except that the entire summer it was either raining out or the mosquitoes were so bad you couldn't be outside for more than a minute at a time w/o being covered.

And I didn't hurt myself very much either. Some of those rocks were pretty darned heavy, though.

I don't know if I'll get a chance to start the long leg of the wall on the other side of the driveway this year, but I want to get the remaining stones out of my driveway so I might just start, if the weather stays nice.

4. now I'm going out to dinner with friends, and then after I get home and the babies are sound asleep in bed, gonna work on the novel again.

Not bad for my first try. It's solid enough that I can walk along the top, so I figure it's good enough. (-:
