So, not to spam y'all with self-promotion stuff, but I've been playing with ebooks some more and I turned my first-ever published short story into one. I'm not suggesting anyone go buy it -- it's deeply silly -- but I'm wanting some love for the nifty cover I made. (-:

That is an excellent cover.

Bought it & the other 2 because there is money in my life right now! Yay!

I've been enjoying your other two ebooks, and am glad that you have put a third one up. I really liked "Skeletons in the Closet" - the ending took me a minute to figure out, which is what you wanted, I think. :-) And I read them on my iPad using a Kindle reader. Even got myself a Bookrags account, and am now thinking about publishing some of my stuff there, too.

Glad you've liked them. They're all early stories of mine, but I'm pretty fond of them.

It's been an interesting exercise so far. As near as I can tell the vast majority of books on smashwords are barely-literate porn, so I kind of wonder if that name will eventually be associated somewhat indelibly with that level and type of work, much as hotmail came to be associated with spammers even though there were a few genuine folks to be found using that service as well. I haven't looked at Bookrags yet, but I'll probably explore other services over time.

Definitely let me know if you run across any formatting oddities. I don't actually own an e-reader, so I haven't checked out all the formats.

actually -- ignore the bookrags comment, it's for literature teaching packs - I got my tabs mixed up. :-)

It _is_ a lovely cover--especially like the ghostly polar bear peering in from LEO.
