There is enormous value of having an EMT demonstrate to you (on you) exactly how one would pop a dislocated shoulder back into place in the field when you're trying to write a scene where your characters need to deal with a dislocated shoulder in the field.

Or, in other words, Jim Macdonald kicks ass.

And yeah, I'm back to working on Miledrop.

You could have just asked me. I do it on a regular basis. Shoulder instability with a propensity of its popping out at odd intervals when least expected. DAMNABLY painful.
