I agree with Jen. It's far too long a time to keep that submission on that publisher's desk. Write to them and tell them you're submitting elsewhere, because that book is too good to be sitting somewhere unread.

Right now, coming off a week and a half of my parents, I am really too depressed & shell-shocked all around to make *any* sort of major (or minor) decisions. Sigh.

Sometimes, when you feel the least capable of making these kinds of decisions, it's the best time to take that kind of action. 666 days is an unforgivable amount of time for a publisher to hold onto your work. Either they should accept or reject it, but doing nothing is really bad business.

Taking action on this might help to empower (I hate that word) you after the crappy powerlessness that a visit from the parents can bring.
