Andromeda Spaceways, in their infinite kindness, has decided to purchase The Neighborly Thing. Looks like it'll be out towards the end of this year. This'll be the third piece of mine they've published (previously The Ins and Outs of Intergalactic Diplomacy in 2005, and the poem And Then in 2006). I wonder how many stories one has to sell to them to get the free ASIM pub glass? (-;

Yay! I wanted this story to find a good home, and now it has.

I was the first round slush reader on this fantastic story, and tagged it for my next issue (31) as soon as I read it. You can't imagine my *own* excitement when I found out that subsequent slushers loved it too, and it received the highest possible score of *3* in the slush rounds! Congratulations on writing such a great story - I'm looking forward to seeing it in print.
