Was hurrying down the stairs today in my socks carrying a big box of presents (thankfully, NOT carrying a baby) when I slipped and bounced rather violently down the last three or four steps on my ass. As you can imagine, this *hurt*. In fact, half my butt is now massively swollen. Yeah, yeah, thanks. Glad you think it's funny.

Sigh. At least it isn't as bad as that time I fell all the way down my stairs and impaled myself on a broken curtain rod. That time involved blood.

Uh... sitting here kinda hurts a lot, so I'm going to bed. Hope you all have a very happy holidays.

I will not mock you - I have done that and know how much it hurts. I hope you are putting ice on it- stuff like that can be serious. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

You have my sympathies. Also, it's good that you landed on your butt and didn't try to stop your fall. That's how I ripped up all the ligaments around my floating ribs :P

I've done something similar (only mine involved wet boots) and narrowly missed bruising my kidneys and breaking a wing off a vertabra, so I find little humor in it either. I hope you recover quickly, and didn't do something like break a tailbone. One of these days, your luck really needs to improve... (knock on wood).
