When I was writing Silence and Roses, I spent a lot of time thinking about one particular piece of the background framework of the story that I decided not to explain or address in the story itself.

In other news, I've just about perked up out of my post-parent-visit deep funk, only to be heading into the "Waaah, I'm not going to Worldcon and everyone else is!" blues.

Must distract myself by writing.
